Black Sherif opens the door to his world with ‘SUN SHERIF’

Black Sherif is letting listeners closer than ever. The Ghanaian star has unveiled 'SUN SHERIF', a new six-track EP that offers an intimate glimpse into the thoughts, emotions and creative process that exist away from the spotlight. Born from the bedroom - a space synonymous with solitude, reflection and creation- 'SUN SHERIF' captures the artist in a particularly open and unguarded state.
Rather than presenting a polished version of himself for public consumption, the project feels rooted in the quieter moments that often sit behind the music.

Across its six tracks, Black Sherif moves through private thoughts, late-night reflections and deeply personal material that, until now, had largely remained outside the public eye. The intimacy of the project gives his songwriting a different weight, allowing listeners to experience the person behind the artist as much as the music itself.
That sense of closeness is strengthened by the project’s carefully selected collaborations. Ghanaian Afrobeats and highlife artist AratheJay joins Black Sherif, bringing another emerging voice from Ghana’s thriving musical landscape, while Trinidad and Tobago production duo Full Blown - brothers Kory and Kevon Hart - add an international dimension to the EP.
Black Sherif has described the project as “more than an EP”, presenting it as an open door into his private space and a portrait of the sounds, thoughts and everyday moments that shape him. For an artist whose music has consistently blurred the lines between personal experience and wider cultural expression, that approach feels particularly fitting.
Six tracks, two collaborators and an intentionally intimate perspective - 'SUN SHERIF' offers perhaps the clearest look yet at the world behind Black Sherif’s music.
