John Legend is stepping into a fresh chapter of his musical journey with 'Muse', a 16-track project that sees the award-winning singer join forces with legendary producer Pharrell Williams. Marking their first complete album collaboration, 'Muse' brings together two of music’s most respected talents.

Pharrell takes creative control of the production across all 16 tracks, contributing to the songwriting while also featuring on six songs, including the album’s title track. The creative process began in January 2025, when the pair linked up in Paris at Pharrell’s recording studio inside Louis Vuitton’s headquarters.

According to Apple Music, the collaboration gained momentum following Legend’s contribution to the chorus of Clipse’s track 'The Birds Don’t Sing'. That connection carries through to the new album, with Clipse members Pusha T and Malice appearing on 'Bodies On The Floor', adding another exciting collaboration to the tracklist.

Fans received their first introduction to this new sound on September 8 with the release of lead single 'Daylight'. Another standout track, 'Pray For Ya', made its debut in the fashion world after being selected as the soundtrack for Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2026 menswear presentation. With more than 20 years in the music industry, Legend continues to explore new creative directions rather than settle into familiar territory. His partnership with Pharrell represents an opportunity to experiment with a different musical approach while maintaining the signature vocals that have defined his career.

Blending their individual styles across an extensive tracklist, 'Muse' promises a fresh listening experience for longtime supporters while offering something new for audiences discovering Legend’s music.
