Toosii has been embracing change lately, not just in his image but also in his music. The New York-born artist, typically recognised for his smooth blend of rap and R&B, has recently started leaning into new sonic territory, exploring pop and even acoustic-driven sounds.
That shift first became clear with his track 'Even Then', where he surprised fans by pairing his vocals with a country-inspired instrumental. Since then, Toosii seems to be fully embracing this lane, and his latest release, 'Please Don’t Go', continues to push him further down that path.

What makes the new single even more unexpected is the feature from NBA YoungBoy. Known more for his raw, aggressive delivery, YB takes a softer approach here, offering heartfelt lyrics that complement Toosii’s emotional performance. Together, they create a track that captures the fragility of a rocky relationship, blending vulnerability with an unusual yet effective chemistry. The collaboration makes sense beyond the studio as well - Toosii is currently one of the supporting acts on YoungBoy’s Make America Slime Again tour, running until October 24.
With this new direction, fans are left wondering if Toosii is teasing the rollout for a new album, or simply exploring his evolving sound. Either way, the experiment is paying off.
