GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and engineer Syd returns with her highly anticipated third solo album, ‘Beard’. Best known as the co-founder of acclaimed collective The Internet, Syd continues to push the boundaries of contemporary R&B on a project that feels both deeply personal and creatively expansive.

Co-produced by Syd herself, ‘Beard’ features an impressive cast of collaborators including Raphael Saadiq, Big Sean, Rodney Jerkins, James Fauntleroy, Van Hunt, Blu June and Jordan Ward, all helping to shape an album that reflects her growth both as an artist and as a person.

Arriving as a true coming-of-age body of work, ‘Beard’ captures the emotional maturity and musical confidence Syd has developed throughout her career. Rich, soulful production provides the foundation for introspective songwriting, resulting in an album that feels effortlessly refined while remaining unmistakably authentic.

The release follows a remarkable run of achievements that has cemented Syd's place among modern R&B's most influential creatives. Alongside her celebrated solo catalogue and work with The Internet, she also earned a GRAMMY Award for co-writing Beyoncé's ‘Plastic Off the Sofa’ from the Renaissance album, further highlighting her impact behind the scenes as both a songwriter and producer.

Having first emerged as part of the groundbreaking Odd Future collective, Syd has spent well over a decade carving out one of the most distinctive artistic identities in contemporary music. ‘Beard’ feels like the culmination of that journey so far, showcasing her at her most confident, expressive and fully realised.

With ‘Beard’, Syd delivers what may well be her strongest solo project to date, further reinforcing why she remains one of the defining voices shaping the future of modern R&B.
