Sammy Virji captures a year on the road with ‘Open Late’

Sammy Virji has surprised fans with 'Open Late', a new eight-track album that draws on the energy, spontaneity and late-night moments that have shaped his the 12 months on the global dance music circuit.
His first collection of original solo music since 2025’s 'Same Day Cleaning', the project offers a snapshot of an artist in constant motion. Conceived while on the road, 'Open Late' reflects the experiences that come with life behind the decks, bringing the atmosphere of the dancefloor directly into the music.

Across eight tracks, Virji moves through a vibrant palette of club sounds, from the funk-driven energy of ‘Crazy Funky’ and ‘Light Work’ to ‘Diggy’, ‘Rising Raider’ and ‘Ode To Todd’. Collaborations with Joy Anonymous, Wet and Hans Glader add further dimensions to the record, bringing different voices and textures into his distinct approach to club music.
Rather than stepping away from the sounds that have fuelled his sets, 'Open Late' embraces them. The album captures the records, rhythms and moments that have made an impression on Virji throughout the past year, translating the feeling of being in the crowd into a project built for movement.
The surprise release arrives during another significant year for the UK producer, whose blend of UK garage, bassline and forward-thinking dance music has taken him to some of the world's biggest stages.
With 'Open Late', Virji brings that experience into a concise collection that feels connected to the clubs and communities at the heart of his sound.
