It looks like G Herbo has been watching the way J.Cole has released his latest podcast via his website. As Herbo adapts to this method himself, for his latest mixtape offering, rather than dropping it on streaming platforms, he has taken matters into his own hands and dropped it on his app and website.
The ‘Greatest Rapper Alive’ mixtape comes as a surprise to his fans, with no real promo, he is testing his fans loyalties to his music. After already dropping off two project this year, Herbo is clearly looking to end the year on a high and give him fans new material before the year is done.
His new mixtape is filled with 16 tracks and they all showcase a different side to his personality. ‘Through The Fire’ and ‘Roc Block’ are two tracks where his charismatic delivery shines though. The two standout records in my opinion are ‘Hold Me Down’ and ‘Blueprint’, he uses slick beats and showcases a different style to him by using melodies, which is something fans aren’t used to hearing from Herbo.
