Mya Mehmi announces debut EP ‘M1’ with new single ‘Still Feel Sad’

British-Punjabi artist, producer and DJ Mya Mehmi is stepping into a new chapter, announcing her signing to Dialled In Records alongside details of her debut EP, 'M1', arriving on 27th November. Leading the project is ‘Still Feel Sad’, a haunting first single that introduces the emotional landscape behind her forthcoming seven-track release.
Written and produced entirely in her North London flat, 'M1' brings together atmospheric R&B and candid songwriting, exploring loneliness, desire and the complexities of a relationship with someone unwilling to love her openly. On ‘Still Feel Sad’, Mya captures the disconnect between how things appear on the surface and what lingers beneath, evoking the feeling of an afterparty that has gone on long after the excitement has faded.

Born in Bradford, raised in Leicester and based in London since the age of 17, Mya describes herself as a “motorway baby”. The routes connecting those places give 'M1' its name, with the familiar journeys becoming a wider reflection on the people and patterns she repeatedly returns to, even when she knows they may not be good for her. That introspective approach extends to her creative process. A self-taught producer with a distinctly DIY ethos, Mya maintains control beyond the music itself, shooting, directing and editing her own visuals to build a world that reflects her perspective.
Her signing marks another addition to Dialled In Records’ work championing the breadth of South Asian artistry across different regions and sounds. Mya joins a roster that includes British-Pakistani producer Ahadadream and India-based multidisciplinary collective EXCISE DEPT., bringing her own blend of alternative R&B and personal storytelling into the fold.
With ‘Still Feel Sad’, Mya Mehmi establishes the emotional core of 'M1' ahead of its November release.
