City Splash made its indoor debut at Drumsheds this year, bringing the same electric energy usually found at Brockwell Park’s Bank Holiday weekend festival to a chilly November Sunday. Despite the temperature drop, the vibes were unmatched, with Drumsheds’ vast industrial space creating a fresh, dynamic backdrop for the festival. Each room within the venue felt like its own mini-festival, perfectly capturing the unique energy of City Splash while offering a diverse mix of sounds and experiences.
Room X, the main stage, set the tone with major performances from heavy-hitters like Stylo G, Teejay, Protoje, and Konshens. Stylo G held the crowd in the palm of his hand, his catalog of hits and undeniable charisma delivering one of the night’s standout performances. Teejay, one of dancehall’s fastest rising stars, kept the energy high, especially with his hit 'Drift' and Konshens delivered the headline set everyone was waiting for, bringing the raw dancehall energy that had the crowd moving from start to finish.
Room Y offered a shift in tempo, delivering infectious UK garage, funky, and club beats. Rampage Sound and Heartless Crew kept the classics coming, showcasing their years of experience in making crowds move. Supa D and DJ Pioneer took festival-goers on a sonic journey through Amapiano, garage, and funky, with seamless chemistry that kept the crowd fully engaged and on their feet. In Z Room, Izzy Bossy’s stomping ground, bass-heavy beats and underground sounds made it a hotspot for fans with sets from Shaun Sky, DJ Nate, and more.
The shift to an indoor event on a Sunday didn’t phase City Splash in the slightest. The night was packed with vibrant performances across all rooms, proving that the festival’s atmosphere transcends its traditional outdoor format. City Splash’s indoor debut was a powerful testament to its adaptability, and with such a successful first winter event, fans are already hoping for a repeat next year.
