On Thursday 26th June, R&B superstar Chris Brown brought his Breezy Bowl tour to Birmingham, turning Aston Villa’s iconic Villa Park stadium into the ultimate open-air celebration of his 20-year career. With a sold-out crowd of around 55,000 fans in attendance, the night proved to be nothing short of unforgettable — packed with energy, nostalgia, and signature Breezy showmanship.
The evening kicked off with a smooth set from none other than Bryson Tiller, who served as the perfect support act. Gliding through fan favourites like 'Don’t', 'Exchange', and 'Whatever She Wants', Tiller’s soulful presence helped set the tone for a night rooted in modern R&B excellence. His laid-back yet commanding delivery was met with loud cheers, warming up the Birmingham crowd ahead of what was to come.

After a short but high-energy DJ set from DJ Fresh, the moment everyone was waiting for arrived. Fireworks exploded around Villa Park as Chris Brown took to the stage, opening with his breakout hit 'Run It' before rolling straight into 'Gimme That'. The crowd erupted, and from that moment on, the energy never dropped. Brown quickly turned up the tempo, gliding through club anthems like 'Party' and 'Ayo'. While he previously brought out Tyga to perform 'Ayo' during his London stops, Birmingham didn’t get any surprise guests — but to be honest, Breezy held it down on his own without missing a beat.
If you caught Chris Brown on his 2023 UK arena run, you’d know to expect elite choreography, flawless vocals, and stadium-level production. But this Breezy Bowl tour has taken things to another level. Performing in stadiums instead of arenas, Brown matched the scale with an even more explosive show — from intricate dance routines with his ever-synchronised troupe to standout vocal moments without any backing track. His ability to sing live, dance with precision, and maintain high energy throughout a 2.5-hour set is unmatched. Outfit changes, stage lighting, pyrotechnics, and visuals were all meticulously timed — a full-on spectacle from start to finish.

Brown knows how to keep the audience locked in. During his outfit changes, the DJ kept vibes high with crowd cams that got fans hyped to see themselves on the big screen, dancing and celebrating in stadium-wide unison.
A fan-favourite moment came when he brought a female fan on stage during “Take You Down”. She was seated on a sofa chair while Breezy delivered a sultry, intimate performance that had the crowd screaming. Then, just when you thought you’d seen it all — he took to the skies. Strapped into a zip wire, Chris Brown soared above the stadium while performing, proving that when it comes to creating moments, he’s operating in a league of his own.
As the night drew to a close, Chris Brown ended the show with a bang, quite literally — with a grand firework display as he performed his timeless hit “Forever”. It was a nostalgic, emotional moment that summed up the entire evening: a celebration of an artist who has consistently delivered for two decades. The show was a reminder of just how deep Chris Brown’s catalogue runs. Hit after hit, he performed for over two hours, barely stopping to breathe — and the crowd was with him every step of the way.
You will not see a better performer in this generation.
