East London’s boundary-pushing talent Kidwild returns with what may be his most vulnerable offering to date. His new single, 'Forgive Me', strips away the bravado and genre experimentation he’s known for, revealing a deeply personal story that has shaped him far beyond music.
At its core, 'Forgive Me' is a reflection on growing up without his father. Kidwild uses the track to process that separation, unpacking the emotional weight of absence, longing and the complicated path toward understanding someone you've spent most of your life missing.
The music video elevates the emotion even further. Filmed during Kidwild’s first-ever trip to Jamaica, the visual unfolds like a documentary - textured, intimate and rooted in lived experience. Viewers witness Kidwild travelling through the island, reconnecting with his roots and, in a defining moment, meeting his father again after years apart. The reunion isn’t sensationalised - instead, the camera lingers on quiet, meaningful exchanges.
With this release, Kidwild expands his creative palette and invites listeners into the most personal corner of his journey so far. You can check out the new track for yourself right here via the links below.
