Triple MOBO Award-winning rapper Guvna B returns with his deeply introspective new album 'This Bed I Made' - a project that sees him open up like never before. Across 11 tracks, Guvna B navigates themes of addiction, recovery, and the stigma that often surrounds both, crafting a body of work rooted in honesty and self-reflection.
Firmly grounded in conscious rap, the album confronts accountability head-on while exploring the slow, complex process of rebuilding after hitting rock bottom.
Extending beyond music, the project is paired with a short film of the same name, directed by Christoph Davis. Written by and starring Guvna B himself, the film adds a cinematic layer to the album’s themes - offering an intimate portrayal of lived experience through a blend of jazz-inflected rap and visual storytelling.
The album also brings together a diverse set of collaborators. Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn feature on ‘Stickers On The Wall’, while Bawo joins him on ‘Nearly’. Rising French-Congolese singer Claudia Isaki appears on ‘Kintsugi’, with additional contributions from Samm Henshaw and the Melodies from Heaven Choir.
On the production side, a strong lineup including Benjiflow, TSB, Joel Baker, Maths Time Joy, Quinn Oulton, SAMPAH, Zento and Jacob Riddall helps shape a rich and textured soundscape.
'This Bed I Made' stands as one of Guvna B’s most vulnerable and fully realised projects to date - an honest reflection on personal growth, responsibility, and the hope that comes with change.
