Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have reunited. The duo returns with '1995', a gritty, soulful new cut that picks up right where their 2020 masterpiece 'Alfredo' left off. Packed with cinematic flair and razor-sharp bars, the track doesn’t just tease their long-awaited follow-up, it sets the tone for what's shaping up to be another standout moment in modern rap.

Accompanied by a striking short film shot in Japan, '1995' feels like more than a single. The visuals are steeped in atmosphere, with moody shots and quiet tension echoing the craftsmanship of the music itself. The Alchemist’s beat is haunting and elegant, pulling from the archives of dusty jazz samples and boom-bap grit, while Gibbs floats over it effortlessly, reminding listeners of the lyrical precision that’s kept him at the top of his game.

Beyond the music, the duo also dropped the 'Alfredo 2' album artwork and tracklist which will be split across three acts. The upcoming project boasts features from the likes of Anderson .Paak, Larry June, JID, and more. It’s a heavyweight lineup that hints at the ambition behind the sequel, one that looks to build on the critical and cultural success of their last collaboration.

With '1995', Freddie and Alc haven’t just delivered a dope track, they’ve reignited the energy around their partnership. And if this is the opening scene, 'Alfredo 2' might just be another classic in the making.
