City Splash announces Damian Marley for huge 2027 edition!
City Splash, the home of Caribbean and African music and culture in the UK, returns to Brockwell Park on Bank Holiday Monday, 31st May 2027, announcing its first wave of artists led by one of reggae’s most significant names, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.
The youngest son of reggae icon Bob Marley, Damian Marley has built a legacy of his own across reggae, dancehall and beyond, carrying Jamaican music into new spaces while remaining rooted in its culture and traditions. His appearance marks a major booking for City Splash and will bring his distinctive sound to Brockwell Park.
He’ll be joined by Dexta Daps, one of contemporary dancehall’s recognisable voices, whose blend of dancehall, reggae and R&B has earned him an international following through tracks including “Shabba Madda Pot”, “7Eleven” and “Call Me If”. Representing a newer generation of Jamaican dancehall, Skillibeng also joins the line-up. The EastSyde artist broke through internationally with “Crocodile Teeth” and has since collaborated across dancehall, rap and pop, helping carry the sound into new spaces.
Elsewhere, Jamaican music veteran Wayne Wonder brings more than three decades of experience to Brockwell Park. Best known internationally for the dancehall classic “No Letting Go”, his appearance adds another generation of Jamaican music history to the bill. The first wave also sees Stefflon Don make her City Splash debut, alongside roots reggae artist Warrior King. Together, the announcement spans different eras and corners of Caribbean music, reflecting the festival’s wider approach to its programming.
Soundsystem culture will remain central to the day, with an extensive cast of selectors, DJs and crews set to soundtrack Brockwell Park throughout the festival.
With Damian Marley leading its first announcement, City Splash 2027 is already shaping a line-up that brings together reggae and dancehall legends, contemporary Jamaican voices, UK talent and the
soundsystem culture that continues to connect them.
