Benny The Butcher is coming in heavy with the second installment of his 'Summertime Butch' series. Following the success of the original tape, which dropped back in August 2024 via his Black Soprano Family label, the Buffalo MC is levelling up in both sound and stature. While the first 'Summertime Butch' held its own with features from ElCamino, Ray Moon, and production by Harry Fraud, the sequel is clearly a step up.

This time around, Benny has brought some major players into the fold. The production lineup is stacked with names like Daringer, Mike WiLL Made-It, Nyckles, and Nickel Plated, offering a range of sonic textures that push Benny into fresh territory without losing his signature grit.
On the mic, Benny is joined by an elite cast: G Herbo, Westside Gunn, Bruiser Wolf, and southern legend Bun B all make appearances, adding different flavors to the tape’s sharp lyricism and street-coded authenticity. It’s a mix that feels like a curated cypher—raw, versatile, and rooted in respect for the craft.
Since his move to Def Jam, Benny has continued to blend the underground edge of Griselda with a more expansive, polished approach. Summertime Butch 2 proves that he’s not just maintaining momentum—he’s building a legacy one project at a time.
