It has been an impressive year so far for popular Leicester raised talent Kamakaze, and after hitting us with a variety of sounds including Garage, Grime and UK Rap, it is now time for him to take his artistry to the next level. The gifted creative has delivered his highly anticipated album entitled 'Memories Over Money', and it has been well received so far.
2019 served as a breakout year for Kam, after his single 'Last Night with Massappeals' hit the Radio 1 playlist and reached the FIFA 20 soundtrack. Kamakaze then followed up with his Royal Blud 2 EP and a run of singles including ‘Desi Shots’, ‘Jon Snow’ and ‘BLG’, lining him up for an even bigger 2020.
Now this is the year that allowed Kam to really up the levels as he featured alongside Big Zuu, Capo Lee and Eyez on the ‘Royal Rumble’ mixtape, which is one of the biggest Grime releases of the year. To cap it all off, Kam has collaborated with Umbro to release his very own run of football shirts emblazoned with the sentiment of this project '.Memories Over Money'.
As a man who’s both a professional footballer as well as an MC, Kam’s versatility is also on display across this album. The sounds of Garage, Grime and various styles of UK Rap are all present on the album, as well as a range of moods, which make for a gripping body of work.
Be sure to take in the album right here, and keep your eyes peeled for more moves from Kamakaze.
