Fyah Roiall (pronounced “royal”) is one of Jamaica’s most exciting rappers at the forefront of the emerging “grimehall” sound (also sometimes referred to as “traphall”), a new forward-facing subgenre of Jamaican music that combines American trap, UK grime, and dancehall. He has launched his eclectic new project ‘UNDERRATED’ and has gifted fans with the visuals for ‘Nobody’
Recorded at Uppa Peak Records studio in the Blue Mountains “Nobody” is also accompanied by a fresh new visual which was shot at Itopia Life, one of the newest cannabis dispensaries in Kingston, Jamaica. Directed by 300k (Koffee, Popcaan, Afro B), who brings his visionary style to the mix, he explains “A lot of thought went into the project especially because I departed from my usual aesthetic. The colour grade, the composition of the shots and even the aspect ratio. I wanted to create a visual that was left open for interpretation given the twist at the end.”
