Nearly four-years since his last full-length solo project, PARTYNEXTDOOR is finally back, releasing his highly-anticipated album “PARTYMOBILE”. Originally scheduled for a January drop, due to delays in production it was pushed back to February, with the album’s eventual release in late March. Since signing to Drake’s OVO Sound label back in 2013, the pair have collaborated on numerous occasions, so it’s no surprise that Drizzy appeared on the single “LOYAL” at the end of last year. The other singles prior to the album: “THE NEWS” and “SPLIT DECISION” gave the fans an initial idea of what to expect from PND in the decade. The album also includes a surprise feature from the R&B and pop royalty Rihanna, with PARTY having previously wrote for her, including writing credits on her smash single “Work”.

The break from his solo work seems to have given the twenty-six-year-old a new found inspiration. We hear glimpses of old PARTY across the fifteen tracks, with a couple of records resembling his arguably classic projects: PARTYNEXTDOOR (2013) & PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO (2014). Along with his trademark R&B sound, we also get experimental elements thrown in the mix. PND shows his Jamaican roots in the Dancehall vibes heard on records such as “EYE ON IT”, as well as his attempt to adapt to the current R&B sound. Vocally, PARTY rarely fails to deliver, sounding exceptional once again, really showing off his capabilities on the “SAVAGE ANTHEM” record. The break and the delays seem to have been worth it as PND delivered a bit of magic on this one.

“PARTYMOBILE” is available to stream in full below and we would be interested in hearing any thoughts and comments.
