BRIT Awards 2020 | The Looks

So the BRIT Awards 2020 made its return earlier this week to celebrate the talent of some amazing artists within the last year. There were many highlights of the night, from Dave’s powerful performance to Lewis Capaldi’s acceptance speech. But let not forget the stunning looks that graced the red carpet that night! As you already know award shows are just my favourite thing to review, so let’s have a look at my favourite looks of the night…

I know they say ladies first but we’re going to have to start with the men of the evening for this one because they really killed it on the red carpet! Stormzy was the male look of the night for me, and was certainly the act of the night winning the big one… British Male Solo Artist of the Year! Wearing an all-white ensemble, he really looked like a powerhouse.

Next up… man of the hour, the talk of the internet at the minute. This guy has had an absolutely fantastic year and night for that matter as he was another one with a big win… Album of the Year! He looks handsome as ever in this emerald green geometric suit, subtle but stand out for me.

Another one from the night that kept it simple is Aitch in a classic navy suit and bow tie combo. Looking very cheeky as always I’m sure Aitch will be one to watch at next year’s BRITs for sure.

Someone who kept it as far away from the classic suit is Burna Boy in Bottega Veneta’s signature weave pattern coat. Another artist who is really taking over the scene at the minute.

I’m really loving the muted tones the men are going for at the minute and this Dior suit for me is everything! The silk panel really completes the look; I’m just so obsessed with how this outfit is put together! Everything really just compliments each other so well, and was carefully thought out even down to the matching converse and the Dior accessories.

Moving on to the females of the night now… I really thought the girls let us down this night as I wasn’t loving many looks that’s why I had to start with the men. But someone I can always rely on to kill the red carpet is the queen… Maya Jama. She always pulls it out he bag with something so different and unique, she is like the Rihanna for the UK! She’s wearing a stunning black velvet gown by Rami Kadi.

And the lady of the night, the British Female Solo Artist of the Year… Mabel. Everything about her is so 90’s hip hop for me, and the long bob hair choice with this Moschino gown is exactly that, just so on point with her style I love it. This is definitely one of my favourite looks of the night, a colour people tend to steer away from she absolutely killed it. The exaggerated bow really just completes the look. Obsessed!

Laura arrived at the BRITs with a message, and she made sure her message was heard. Wearing a gorgeous dress made up of newspaper headlines, she wanted to make a clear stand against the British media who gave her late friend Caroline Flack hell leading up to her death just days before. I think it’s a really touching tribute knowing that Laura along with many more celebs have come together recently really wanting to fight for better laws in what the British media are allowed to post. She was one I really couldn’t miss off my list.

Satin slip dresses are probably one of my favourite trends from the last year, and I really am not planning on getting enough of them anytime soon. Adwoa looks so elegant in this Vivienne Westwood satin slip. The asymmetric sleeves are so 90’s once again, and I’m here for the fact some best fashion trends to ever happen during the best era in time are all making a comeback!

Ok so I know I said Mabel was my favourite look of the night… but this is also my favourite look of the night. Leaving little to the imagination but still looking bomb as hell, Montana looks like an absolute goddess in this dress by Rami Kadi. Absolutely stunning, proper supermodel vibes.

Talking of supermodels… rounding up this post is Abbey Clancy killed the red carpet in this LBD. I’m obsessed with exactly how mini this dress is and STILL there is a little split up the sides, with a little bit of booty on show. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but a super model mother of 4 with the confidence to pull this off… you can only applaud her. I love nothing more than a strapless mini black dress, so classy and elegant.
