NEW MIXTAPE: Tory Lanez – Chixtape 5

The past few weeks have been building up to this very moment, fans have been waiting for the rapper to drop his next instalment to his famed mixtape series. The marketing and promotion behind this project was genius and this was confirmed after the hype around Ashanti being on the front cover of the tape. The early 2000’s themed promotions worked hand in hand, with the sound on ‘Chixtape 5’. As soon as the tracklist was released days before, we knew this was going to be one for our R&B listeners.

The brand new mixtape features some huge names and samples from the real OG’s in the game; Mario, Ashanti, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Llyod and more. If looking at the track list wasn’t enough to make you go and listen, surely the cover of Ashanti would. Tory has clearly worked hard on this project and in my eyes, treated it like it was an album more than a mixtape.
