LIVE: A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie | O2 Academy, Birmingham | #HoodieSZN

The whole of Birmingham showed out for A Boogie on Tuesday 22nd October, to watch the rapper perform cuts from his ‘Hoodie SZN’ album that dropped late December last year. This was actually the first time the American star had performed in Birmingham to my knowledge, which explains the crowds that came out for the night.

In a packed out O2 Academy, A Boogie had two support acts come out before his set, one artist in particular has been building his name within the UK music scene. K-Trap performed just before Boogie came out to the Brum crowd. The rapper performed his huge hit ‘Big Mood’ and warmed the crowd up nicely for the headline.

Fans went crazy as the High Bridge rapper came out performing …… The atmosphere was on point, as he warmed the fans up before performing some of his new music and records from his latest tape ‘Hoodie SZN’.

If you are a day 1 A Boogie fan, you would have been one of those people in the crowd signing every lyric for tracks from ‘Artist’ and ‘The Bigger Artist’. After watching the rapper perform ‘D.T.B’ across the globe, I was not surprise when his 2016 hit received the reaction it did, with the audience singing the track word for word.

Not only did the artist hit us with records from his old tapes, he came through with his new bangers too. Mood Swings, his latest single sent the vibe in the O2 electric as he performed this near the end of his set. Along with his most recent collaboration with U.S star Lil Tecca, he showcased ‘Somebody’ which put him in a perfect position for his last track ‘Drowning’.

If you haven’t heard of ‘Drowning’ you certainly won’t have heard of Boogie, as this is his biggest record to date. The audience’s reaction was expected and it looked like the rapper was in owe of the crowd himself. What a way to end his set and first performance in Birmingham!
