NEW ALBUM: Kanye West – Jesus Is King
Finally the wait is over.
It has felt like a very long journey for the fans, as his wife Kim Kardashian initially announced the project in the Summer. Many people wasn’t sure whether to trust this message as it didn’t come from Kanye’ social media account and we all know what he has been like with postponing release dates in the past. The rapper eventually confirmed the date he was going to drop ‘Jesus Is King’ and despite being a few hours late, he finally got the project out.

When Ye took to Twitter to announce that the project was going to be pushed back to specifically fix mixes, many thought it was a prank and we would be left waiting days for it to even drop.
The project features 11 tracks in total, which is a fairly small album considering the size of other artists tapes these days. For me 11 is a perfect number and more artists should focus on getting a solid 11 records out, rather than having a 18 track album but having a lot of skippable records. ‘Jesus Is King’ features his famous Sunday Service Choir, Kenny G, Clipse, Ty Dolla $ign and more. The album dropped with an accompanying IMAX film that was screening in cinemas across the world, the 35 minutes short film gives fans a greater insight into his Sunday Service.
