NEW E.P: Jelani Blackman - Average Joe
London rapper Jelani Blackman has unveiled his fresh new EP ‘Average Joe’ via his imprint, 18RECORDS. The 5 track project follows up what has been an incredible 2019 so far, and it safe to say that this one is shaping up to be one of his biggest releases to date.
The five-track release, ‘Average Joe’, sees Jelani showcase his trademark combination of emotive lyrics and deep, baritone flow. Three tracks from the EP have already been released as singles to much acclaim, but listening to the body of work in full, from start to finish, gives the content a whole new dimension.

‘Nobody’s Son’ arrived as his first release of 2019, while ‘Brixton’ was premiered by Annie Mac on her BBC Radio 1 show and went on to receive further support from BBC Radio 1Xtra’s DJ Target and Kenny Allstar amongst others. The latest single ‘Cheers’ received airplay from a long list of tastemakers that includes Annie Mac, Toddla T, and Julie Adenuga, and with huge expectations surrounding the project there is no doubt whether Jelani delivered or not.
