On Friday, the Harlem rapper/singer delivered her seven-track EP Motions, which included the previously released singles "TM Interlude," "No Hard Feelings," and "Nena." Melii said she wanted the effort to really speak to the listeners, as she addresses the complexities and burdens of love.
The 21-year-old made waves from her Cardi B "Bodak Yellow" cover, "Icey" single, and feature on Meek Mills Championships, but now she's standing on her own.
Motions is an 18-minute, seven-track offering that hosts only one feature from "Gyptian" on the islands-inspired jam, "High For U."
"Motions EP ... is a vibe ... we continue to grow together, I want to be ableto give you music that's more than just fun," she said in a statement. "It’s meaningful and relatable. This project is about giving the mob something to identify with as we peek into Sad Girl Winter."
