What happens if you team up Brixton raised talent, Big Narstie with Jamaica’s Queen of Dancehall Spice...
The duo raised the temperature by dropping 'Pony', an anthem melding grime, dancehall and bashment with Narstie’s dexterous flow and big rhymes complemented by Spice’s uncompromising attitude and world class vocals. The pair have both become TV stars after first making their names in music. Narstie as a host of his own award-winning Channel 4 series, and Spice as a star of the VH1 show ‘Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta’.
The duo launched the track into the mainstream with another memorable visit to Good Morning Britain, which saw the show’s chief correspondent Richard Gaisford bump and grind with Spice. They then took it back to their roots with a performance at Notting Hill Carnival that same weekend.
Now Big Narstie and Spice give ‘Pony’ a fresh wave of attention by dropping the track’s official visual. It opens with Narstie arriving in style in his own-branded helicopter before hitting the club for some energised performance footage. We first see Spice arrive - how else? - on horseback before the charismatic collaborators are joined by a host of dancers outside a barnyard.
Huge props must be sent out to Dego Visionz and the creative team who ensured that this music video came out at the highest standard.
