In the space of a year, City Girls have blew up, turning themselves from two street female rappers into household names. The two rappers Yung Miami and JT have had a whirlwind of a year, which JT has spent behind bars, hopefully she will soon touch the roads again. You can’t help but notice the work they are putting in over at Quality Control right now, they are turning everyone into superstars; we had already witnessed their power moves with Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yatchy, Cardi and now the City Girls. Alongside ‘Twerk’ their record ‘Act Up’ has played a huge part of their success story and now they have decided to bring this audio to life with a brand new visual starring Lil Boat himself.
One of the reasons why this record blew up the way it did, was also due to the challenge they set for their biggest fans to send in videos of themselves dancing to the track. Which has clearly helped out the directors of this music video as they have used some clips in the official video. A few months ago it was revealed that Lil Yachty was the one who actually wrote the hook and Yung Miami’s verse for the hit single, so it was only right to feature him on the video. Lil Boat plays his part in a comedy sketch where he plays the role of vocal coach to Miami, “If I was a Female, I would say it like that” he says.
