DJ Khaled rounds off the Saturday Night Live Season Finale!
DJ Khaled has been trending over the internet all weekend after dropping off his latest studio album ‘Father of Asahd’. The team behind Khaled always do a job of perfecting the superstar’s promo run and here is another perfect example. The mogul was blessed to grace the Saturday Night Live stage for their season finale. But of course, Khaled has to do everything in big style and that is exactly what he did as he brought out majority of the rappers behind the collaborations on the project. We are so used to guests just coming to perform solo, but Khaled decides to bring the whole cast out to performing, which touched a lot of viewers after the end track was performed.
Paul Rudd hosted the finale and introduced Khaled for the final performance, the mogul came out with all of his energies and announced that the first song would be ‘Jealous’ which in a collab between him, Lil Wayne and Big Sean. Next, the producer decided to bring out Jeremih, Meek Mill, Lil Baby and J Balvin for them to perform ‘You Stay’. You can watch both performances below.
For the next segment Khaled brought out SZA for their Outkast sampled ‘Just Us’ record, which the singer brought out her best vocals for the Saturday Night Live audience. Next, Meek returned to the stage to perform just his verse for ‘Weather The Storm’ before John Legend came out to perform the finale. Throughout all the other records many of us was thinking is he going to perform his ‘Higher’ record with Nip and Legend, considering he was wearing a Nipsey Hussle hoodie the whole time it was pretty inevitable. John Legend played the piano whilst singing his hook, with a Nipsey Hussle image that shone in the background. At the end of the performance Khaled reminds us all that “The Marathon Continues.” You can catch these two performances below too.
