TEEFORDAPLUG has been making noise within the underground scene in Birmingham for a few years now, running her own events and putting on the biggest parties with the Kulture team. After celebrating her 1 year anniversary back in August, the time had come for her to throw the next party, and this one was announced with a huge line up.
As soon as the line up was announced in March, Tee was selling out tickets just from the line up; no promo gas was needed. TEEFORDAPLUG included three DJs to the line up; Riddla, Jack Bagshaw and Jamo Beatz, all known for being able to raise the energies in the room through their selection of riddims. So, with the DJ's all carefully handpicked, it was vital that the chosen artists blended perfectly with the vibe of the DJ's. It was upcoming collective, 44 Deep, JD Cliffe and House Of Pharaoh's rapper, BlazeYL.
As soon as the CGuk team arrived, we instantly knew that the vibes were there for a very good night ahead, the venue was full and everyone was coming with nothing but positive energy. Credit to the DJs who really controlled the crowd with the records they were spinning, playing music a variety of genres including, UK Rap, Hip-Hop, Trap, R&B, Grime and many more.
With the night shaping to be packed full of energy the first act, 44 Deep took to the stage, interacting with the fans throughout their performance whilst showcasing their talents to the fullest. The UK based collective were quickly followed by another rising talent, JD Cliffe. The London based creative has been putting in work over the past 12 months, and with his latest project 'Neon Jungle' being well received, it is clear to see that he is preparing for a huge 2019, and his performance in Birmingham on Friday night will have definitely drawn in a few new fans.
Following a short interval we were then lead to Blaze YL's performance, and it was clear to see that those in the audience were more than ready for his set. The London raised talent has been making waves with popular singles such as 'Boss', 'Profits' and 'No Delay', and the energy he brought whilst performing these tracks most definitely gave them a new dimension. His stage presence, and dominance on the mic gripped the attendees and his set served as the perfect end to the live acts, allowing the DJ's to bring the night to a close with another dope selection of tracks.
If you haven't done so already, then you most certainly have to get yourself down to the next TEEFORDAPLUG event, and be sure to check out the CGuk highlight visual via the link below.
