Barney Artist is back with a bang as he delivers his second single from the highly anticipated debut album, 'Home Is Where The Art Is'. Coming straight out of East London, the talented creative showcases exactly where he developed his craft and talent, whilst also letting everybody know that he is the one to watch.
The brand new single 'Rosethorn' see's Barney deliver a laid back vocal over this lo-fi summer infused instrumental, which is complimented perfectly by Dornik's R&B style vocals. Set to feature on the deeply personal debut, 'Home Is Where The Art Is', 'Rosethorn is just a taste of what to expect from the follow up to the highly-acclaimed 2014 mixtape 'Bespoke' and 2016’s 'Painting Sounds'.
The upcoming project is a record that is a culmination of a life-long journey for Barney. Sonically fusing 90s era boom bap hip-hop, jazz and electronic soul, with influences from artists such as UK heavyweights Kano and Ghostpoet, and heritage artists The Roots and A Tribe Called Quest – this record represents the enigmatic rapper’s significance as part of the next wave of talent within this crossover jazz scene.
