And just like that, J.Cole drops his surprise concept album.


As we are all aware by now, J.Cole takes a different approach to his social presence than most rappers now a days. We are so used to the modern day rappers pretty much making their whole life visible to their fans, Cole on the other hand, likes to keep himself off social media and you won't find him turning up in the clubs either. This is probably why this project comes as such a surprise, after only announcing it a week before its release, J.Cole hits us with his brand new album 'KOD'. It has been almost two years since the rapper dropped his last project '4 Your Eyez Only', that dropped in December 2016. 


Once again, Cole gifts us with a project that has no features - is he looking for another feature-less platinum album? The only feature we see on the album is his alter-ego who is called kiLL Edward, whilst fans speculated what 'KOD' stood for. The rapper announces the meaning via Twitter; King Overdosed, Kill Our Demons and Kids On Drugs.
