NEW: @DapzOnTheMap revisits his catalogue and has a 'Spring Clean'
Over the years, Dapz On The Map has definitely proved himself as one of the most talented rappers to come out of Birmingham. He has remained consistent with the quality and delivery of his tracks, and has built a strong catalogue of work. Much of which comes as a product of his relationship with the talented Thomas Mellor, a producer he has worked very closely with over the year.
So, as Dapz prepares to move onto the next chapter of his career and set the pace once again, he felt it was time for a 'spring clean' and drop a project of the work that has got him to where he is now.
The project is 13 tracks deep, and when listening to it you really do appreciate what Dapz has done for the scene, and how far he has come on as artist. He has ventured through a variety of sounds, styles and flows, but whilst doing so as always released high quality products which are sonically pleasing. I feel right now, he is in his prime, coming of the back of a strong 12 months where he released hit after hit, performed a sell out headline show, and had his sound appreciated by a much wider audience across the whole of the UK.
Before dropping the tracklist to the project he gave us a message of the meaning and reason as to why he dropped 'Spring Clean'.
Of course he had to give us some unheard material alongside some of his most recognisable tracks including the 'Straight Up' Remix, 'Shinobi', 'Oh My Days' and 'Murder'. I feel there could have been many more tracks on the project but he has selected 13 ranging from early 2011 through to the end of 2016. A difficult task providing the amount of high material quality he holds.
I cannot wait to see the Champion has lined up for us over the next 12 months. But, in the mean time, it is time to reflect and appreciate the music Dapz has already given us. Check out 'Spring Clean' below.
