British Kenyan-Ugandan singer-songwriter Victor Ray opens his next chapter with 'I Don’t Want It', a raw, emotionally charged single that confronts the toxic relationship cycles that can be difficult to leave behind.

Centred on the moment when love becomes exhausting, the track explores the realisation that a relationship is no longer healthy and the decision to choose self-respect over familiarity. Rather than romanticising the struggle, Victor gives voice to the frustration and clarity that come with recognising when enough is enough.

The single was born from an explosive, organic jam session with Grammy-winning producer Bekon and his team, bringing a spontaneous creative energy to a record that feels deeply personal. Against the backdrop of its production, Victor’s unmistakable vocals take centre stage, balancing vulnerability with a growing sense of resolve.

'I Don’t Want It' also signals a bolder direction for the Newcastle-raised artist. While emotional honesty remains at the heart of his songwriting, there is a sharper edge to this release, capturing someone who is no longer willing to remain in a dynamic that takes more than it gives.

As he steps into this next phase of his career, 'I Don’t Want It' stands as one of Victor Ray’s most vulnerable releases to date.
