Leicester native Tyde continues to carve out his own space within UK R&B with 'SUMMER TYME', a seven-track EP that captures another stage in his development as an artist.

Building his career independently, Tyde has steadily grown a dedicated audience since releasing his debut EP 'Words Off My Chest' in 2023. Since then, a run of releases has given him the space to develop his sound, sharpen his songwriting and establish himself as a distinctive voice within the UK's evolving R&B landscape.

Tyde - SUMMER TYME

'SUMMER TYME' sees Tyde build on that foundation while introducing a fresh direction. Across the project, he moves between smooth R&B textures, soulful vocals and more rhythmic passages, creating a body of work that feels cohesive without being confined to one particular sound.

The seven tracks capture different sides of his artistry, with Tyde balancing laid-back moments with more upbeat energy. His ability to weave rap into his melodic delivery adds another dimension to the project, highlighting the versatility that has become increasingly central to his music. Rather than simply leaning into the nostalgia of summer, 'SUMMER TYME' uses the season as a backdrop for Tyde to explore where he is creatively. The project feels rooted in the warmth and ease associated with its title, while still allowing room for moments of reflection and movement.

After building his career independently over the past few years, Tyde is now entering a period where the foundations he has laid are beginning to take shape. 'SUMMER TYME' adds another chapter to that progression, showcasing an artist becoming increasingly comfortable with his sound and the different directions it can take.

As summer draws to a close, Tyde leaves the season with a project that reflects his continued evolution while setting the tone for what comes next.
