Tee Grizzley returns with new 16-track album ‘They Forgot’

Tee Grizzley has returned with his latest project, 'They Forgot', putting the spotlight firmly back on the sound and storytelling that helped establish his name. Across 16 tracks, the Detroit rapper delivers a collection centred around vivid narratives, street experiences and the direct style that has remained a key part of his music throughout his career.

The album brings together several previously released tracks, including 'No Effort 2', 'Hard Times' featuring Hurricane Wisdom and 'Rain' alongside fellow Detroit artist Skilla Baby. There is also plenty of new material to explore. Songs including 'Detroit Public Schools' and 'Locked Up In Mexico' see Tee continue to turn detailed situations into records, while another chapter of his long-running “Robbery” series adds to one of the most recognisable storytelling concepts in his catalogue.

It has been almost a decade since 'First Day Out' introduced Tee Grizzley to a much wider audience. Rather than completely changing direction with 'They Forgot', the new album sees him return to his strengths and remind listeners of the qualities that helped him make his mark in the first place.
