Serious Klein links up with Shaun Sky on hard-hitting new single ‘HEAVY’
Ghanaian-German rapper and creative artist Serious Klein returns with ‘HEAVY’, a hard-hitting new single featuring rising South London lyricist Shaun Sky.
Emerging from a brief hiatus, Serious Klein reasserts his presence with a record built around sharp lyricism, unapologetic confidence and ominous, forward-thinking production. Blending elements of hip-hop and R&B, ‘HEAVY’ sees the artist maintain his uncompromising approach while Shaun Sky brings his distinctive London flair to the collaboration.
The pairing adds another layer of intensity to the track, with both artists bringing their own character to its weighty production. True to its title, ‘HEAVY’ delivers a forceful statement, balancing commanding performances with a sound that looks beyond conventional hip-hop boundaries.
The single follows a run of high-energy releases from Serious Klein, including ‘Voodoo Money’, ‘Lil Capo’, ‘Ohene’ and ‘MOP’, each accompanied by cinematic visuals that have helped shape the world surrounding his music.
In 2024, Serious Klein signed to Nas’ Mass Appeal Records, joining a roster associated with influential names including Nas, Mobb Deep, Ghostface Killah and De La Soul. The move marked an important step in his career, connecting his distinct perspective with a label rooted in hip-hop’s legacy.
Now, ‘HEAVY’ sets the tone for Serious Klein’s next phase as he prepares to release his forthcoming project.
