‘African Soldier’ stands as a bold statement, championing African heritage while celebrating the continued global rise of Black excellence. Serving as the second single from Patoranking’s forthcoming fifth studio album, the release also marks a return to the reggae and dancehall influences that helped shape his early musical identity.

Produced by Jazzwad, the track leans heavily into live instrumentation, giving it an authentic reggae resonance. Accompanying the release is a striking music video shot in New York and directed by UAX. The visual amplifies the song’s themes of unity, liberation and cultural pride, bringing its message of empowerment to life on screen.

With ‘African Soldier’, Patoranking and Buju Banton deliver a collaboration that bridges continents, cultures and generations through music.
