NEW MIXTAPE: Toosii - JADED

Toosii broke out into the industry about four years ago, but a lot has changed for the artist since then in terms of his sound. He opened his account with a trap rap inspired vibe with blends of R&B melodies. For whatever reason, the rapper has now found his lane and stuck to it, pretty much ditching the trap rap and sticking to R&B/melodic rap.

It has been working well for him, and his sound has allowed him to find his core fan base who support all his ventures. I noticed the change massively after his viral hit record ‘Favorite Song’ which was more appealing to the pop masses. Following up from his 2023 project ‘NAUJOUR’ he’s back with another one, this time the rapper puts out ‘JADED’. Many fans thought this was an album but the artist did confirm in his recent Breakfast Club interview that it’s actually a mixtape.

Despite there being some love songs scattered within the project, we are hearing a Toosii who is pushing any sort of love feelings to one side on this tape. We are hearing more about lust and his sneaky links, with a hint of reaching his goals on ‘Champs Elysees’ with Gunna. The rapper only has 3 features in total and they fit the project perfectly, we get to hear Kehlani, Muni Long and Gunna link up with the North Carolina native.

‘JADED’ is 13 tracks deep in total and we have only heard 2 of those singles with ‘Fuk You Mean’ and ‘Champs Elysees’ surfacing prior to the full body of work.
