The new release from Infamous Dimez entitled ‘Bitter & Sweet’ is exactly that - sweet that our ears get blessed with another well crafted release, but there’s a looming bitterness in Dimez' delivery and writing. He talks on distancing himself from the things stopping his creativity and taking time away to reassess his feelings. Dimez is rapping to us from a birds eye view, looking down on himself and his career with a sense of wisdom that you can’t help but rate. It helps that he is doing this reflection over a self produced, beautifully crafted instrumental, which immediately gives me Kanye West Graduation vibes - which is a compliment of the highest regard!

It’s been 3 years since he released ‘Cntrl Freestyle’, which currently sits at 2.7million streams and is in regular rotation on my personal playlists today. 'Bitter & Sweet' almost acts as a part 2 to Cntrl. Here we get Dimez in his element rapping heartfelt lyrics, over a uniquely infectious beat (he has made) in a ‘freestyle’ format. We even get a few glimpses of Dimez melodic ability, which he teases throughout this 3 minute diary entry. For the millions of fans that loved Cntrl, this new release is definitely sweet!

For others who are more than just fans of Cntrl, this release will leave you wanting more - in a good way. This is set to be the first release of 4/5 songs, I believe, after his hiatus. Dimez raps ‘Lock em off in May and don’t call them back ‘till September, use the time wise to work hard on your centre’… today is September 1st, Dimez is keeping true to his promise and we are ready and waiting to see where he takes us!
