It sounds like she has another hit on her hands! Glo is a very recognisable artist, whether it’s her track or she’s featuring on someone else’s, her presence will always be felt, and as she looks to build on the hype, the Memphis raised talent delivers new music and has also announced that her eagerly anticipated album 'GLORIUS' will be dropping in October.
She often finds herself jumping on instrumentals, that I think other artists would struggle on, and her new single ‘HOLLON’ is prime example of this. The beat has rattling hi hats and a consistent horn sample running throughout, but she still manages to catch her flow.
One thing about GloRilla is she knows how to make a hit and ‘HOLLON’ sounds like it could be one of them ones. She finds herself talking trash and flexing on her doubters, whilst she may not be known for her amazing lyricism, the conviction she puts on her raps is second to none. The instrumental samples a southern classic ‘Hold On Ho’ by DJ Unk but Glo does an excellent job of keeping the spirit of the original while adding her own spin to it.
