Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill made a statement on his return to the hip-hop scene with his new EP ‘Heathenism’. His new 5 track project was released independently via his Dreamchaser label and shows hints of Meek being back to his best form.
Prior to his project being released, the rapper jumped on Twitter to rant and set the record straight on his viewpoint regarding allegations with Diddy. He claims to be part of a cyber attack after going independent.
This new EP shows Meek getting back to his signature gritty lyricism and relentless energy, across a series of 5 hard hitting tracks. ‘Came From The Bottom’ kick starts the project, this song is consistent of a motivational anthem that sets the tone with its triumphant message.
He keeps up the flow with ‘Times Like This’ followed by my favourite track of the project. Meek Mill links up with Fivio Foreign for ‘Whenever I Want’ which receives a brand new visual you can watch here.
‘Whenever I Want’ serves as the first collaboration on the tape, followed by Future’s feature on Meek’s new track ‘Giving Chanel’
