NEW ALBUM: Polo G - Hood Poet

The wait is finally over, after 3 years out from dropping any projects, Polo G delivers once again with ‘Hood Poet’. The rapper warmed the fans up nicely by dropping ‘We Uh Shoot’ featuring Lil Durk last week.

In a recent interview, Polo dived deep into his emotions and gave us the reason why this album had been pushed back multiple times. He made the decision to step out of the spotlight for a minute in order to get sober, the rapper proves with this album that it was the right move for him.

It’s fair to say after listening to this album, people can no longer say he has lost it or he’s fell off. The album has a track for so many different moods and finds Polo in different pockets of his emotions. He breaks down his struggle to get sober on ‘Detox’, on ‘Darkside’ he raps about his past and gives fans a greater insight into his earlier experiences.

The lead single ‘We Uh Shoot’ featuring Lil Durk is a lot more upbeat and will certainly be one to spin in the clubs. For me, a personal favourite has to be ‘Angels In The Sky’ it is one of the tracks with the best instrumental and the hook goes crazy.
