Acclaimed Chicago rap artist Mick Jenkins joins forces with fast rising London producer EMIL and UK rap powerhouse ENNY for their brand new track, ‘Words I Should’ve Said’. The release is accompanied by an official music video directed by Flora Scott, and serves as the second preview from Mick and EMIL’s forthcoming debut collaborative project ‘A Murder of Crows’, which lands on 3rd October.

Following on from last month’s single ‘Coco Gauff’, the latest offering further demonstrates the chemistry between the cult US rap figure and one of the UK’s most exciting production talents. Enlisting ENNY, the trio deliver a thought-provoking joint that captures the raw honesty of missed chances and broken communication.
Built on EMIL’s captivating, minimal production, the track provides a melodic yet spacious canvas for Mick and ENNY to trade wisdom and perspective, each exploring the regret and reflection of a failed relationship. The interplay between male and female viewpoints heightens the emotional impact, while Jenkins’ poetic flair and ENNY’s grounded delivery bring the narrative vividly to life.
‘A Murder of Crows’ signals an ambitious new chapter in Mick Jenkins’ career - one that sees him stretching his already respected legacy through bold collaborative ventures with some of the world’s most exciting beatmakers.
If ‘Words I Should’ve Said’ is anything to go by, this upcoming project is set to be one of the most compelling hip-hop releases of the year.
Check out the new track below, and keep your eyes peeled for the project.
