mgk and Wiz Khalifa are taking fans back to the golden mixtape days with the release of their collaborative project 'blog era boyz'. The project arrives more than ten years after the pair first connected on 2013’s 'Mind of a Stoner', bringing their chemistry full circle for listeners who grew up during the peak of the blog-era rap scene.
For mgk, the release also marks a notable return to hip-hop after spending the last several years focused on pop punk projects, while Wiz reintroduces the relaxed, smoke-filled energy that became a signature part of his early success.

Leading up to the project, the duo reunited on tracks including 'Girl Next Door' and 'Everything Tatted', both of which captured the carefree mixtape spirit that originally made fans connect with their music. The rollout feels even more fitting as both artists are currently travelling together on the final run of mgk’s 'Lost Americana Tour', adding to the nostalgic and celebratory feel surrounding the collaboration.
For longtime supporters, 'blog era boyz' feels less like a reunion and more like a return to an era that helped shape a generation of rap fans.
