Mariah The Scientist drops off new single 'Burning Blue'

Ever since dropping her 2023 album, Mariah The Scientist has remained fairly quiet when it comes to releasing music. She has remained a hot topic of discussion in the public eye, due to her relationship with Young Thug. Now her boyfriend is out, she is putting her foot to the pedal and going all out. Her fans are hoping that 2025 will be the year she drops another project, let’s hope new single ‘Burning Blue’ is a sign of things to come.

On the new single, Mariah crafts a portrait of emotional tension through her lyrics and story telling. She positions herself as a cold hearted lover, someone who is detached but can still be vulnerable. On the other hand she describes her lover to be on fire, which causes her to melt. I would say the single is less about romance and speaks more about distances and desires.
