Loyle Carner returns with 'hopefully !' - a deeply personal and transformative album that sees the South London artist stepping further into his truth. Known for his diaristic storytelling and heartfelt lyricism, Carner delivers a body of work that is both universal in theme and intimately detailed.

Across the album, Carner explores childhood, fatherhood, and his evolving identity, with standout track 'time to go' capturing the emotional heart of the project. In a number of creative firsts, including singing, producing, and forming a dream band, he reflects on the past while carving out space for growth and healing, as heard on tracks like 'all i need' and 'about time'.
The cinematic, self-directed video for 'lyin' provides the visual centrepiece of the album, grounding its themes with surreal, introspective imagery. Collaborators like Navy Blue, Nick Hakim, and the late Benjamin Zephaniah lend weight to the record’s emotional depth, while Carner’s own son adds a personal touch, even colouring the album’s artwork.
A decade into his journey, 'hopefully !' sees Loyle Carner expanding his creative reach as a rapper, singer, director, and storyteller. With this record, he doesn’t just reflect on who he’s become - he shows us who he’s still becoming.
