Opium-affiliated rapper Ken Carson returns with his latest studio album ‘xperiment’, a 22-track project that further cements his position as one of the most distinctive voices in modern rap’s new wave.
Arriving as his fifth studio album, ‘xperiment’ continues the Atlanta native’s run of high-energy, genre-blurring releases, following the momentum of his 2025 project ‘More Chaos’. The new record also arrives with a heavyweight list of features, including appearances from Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug and Destroy Lonely, adding further weight to an already highly anticipated release.

In the build-up to the album, Ken Carson leaned heavily into his cult fanbase, rolling out a series of cryptic and interactive promotional moments. From previewing unreleased material at festivals to hiding USB drives for fans to discover, the campaign has played a key role in generating anticipation and reinforcing his experimental, internet-driven approach to artistry.
That strategy appears to have paid off, with ‘xperiment’ already gaining strong early traction among fans who have been waiting for the next evolution of his sound. The project leans into the chaotic, high-tempo aesthetic that has become synonymous with Carson’s rise, while continuing to push his sonic identity forward.
Adding even more intrigue to his current run, reports suggest that another project titled ‘CARTUNEZ’ may already be in the pipeline, with a possible release date as early as 10th July.
If that proves true, Ken Carson’s current era shows no signs of slowing down - instead, it looks like he is accelerating into one of the most prolific stretches of his career to date.
