KayMuni & Asco set the tone for ‘Monopoly’ with ‘Muni x Mulli’

Birmingham rapper KayMuni returns with 'Muni x Mulli', linking up with East London’s Asco ahead of his debut album 'Monopoly', due 6th November.
Built around a sample-led instrumental, the two artists go back to back across a record that touches on loyalty, progression and the challenges that can come with trying to move forward. Their contrasting styles give the track its own energy, with both artists bringing their perspectives to a collaboration that feels rooted in their respective journeys.

For KayMuni, the release adds another chapter to a story that has taken him from North Birmingham to a growing reputation across UK rap. He has built a genuine following through the strength of his music, while also making a conscious effort to give back to the community that has supported him. His work has included school clothing and food donations. His journey hasn't always followed a straightforward path.
Lifestyle choices previously pulled KayMuni away from music, giving him first-hand experience of the opportunities that can pass while an artist is absent and the momentum they have to watch develop without them. During that time, KayMuni spent much of his sentence alongside fellow Birmingham artists Marnz Malone and KB, using the period to study the business and craft behind rap. From structuring mixtapes to understanding the wider mechanics of the industry, he treated the experience as an opportunity to prepare for the career he wanted to build.
That work laid the foundations for projects including 'Time Is Money' and its sequel, helping establish the catalogue and identity that KayMuni continues to build on today. Now, with 'Monopoly' approaching, 'Muni x Mulli' offers another glimpse into the next stage of his journey. Asco brings his own perspective from East London, while the collaboration gives KayMuni another opportunity to demonstrate the progression behind his upcoming debut.
With 'Monopoly' arriving on 6th November and a nationwide run of events set to follow, KayMuni is entering an important stage of his career.
