Fivio Foreign continues to explore a different side of his sound with 'Soldier', a new single that brings the worlds of gospel and drill together. Released on Friday, the track features The Fire Choir, whose gospel-inspired vocals create an interesting contrast alongside the hard-hitting production associated with Fivio’s New York drill roots.

The combination reflects a musical direction Fivio has increasingly explored in his recent material. Rather than stepping away from the sound that helped establish his career, he appears to be finding new ways to reshape it by introducing influences that listeners may not traditionally associate with drill.

On 'Soldier', the choir brings a powerful, uplifting presence to the record, while Fivio delivers his verses with renewed intensity. The two elements give the song an identity that stands apart from a more conventional drill release. Fivio’s career has come with its share of challenges, but music has remained a constant throughout. His latest releases suggest he is entering another stage creatively, experimenting with new ideas while maintaining the energy behind his earlier work.

With 'Soldier', Fivio shows there is still plenty of room to push the boundaries of drill, using gospel influences to bring a fresh dimension to his evolving sound.
