Fresh from announcing their fourth studio album ‘Here Because of Hope’, Mercury Prize and BRIT Award-winning Ezra Collective return with their uplifting new single ‘Well Organised’, enlisting acclaimed Jamaican singer Lila Iké for a collaboration rooted in heritage, community and musical connection.

Serving as the second preview of the forthcoming album following ‘Only Love’ featuring Pa Salieu, ‘Well Organised’ expands on one of the project's central themes: tracing the movement of Black music across Africa, through the Caribbean and into Britain, celebrating the cultures and communities that have shaped generations of sound.

Ezra Collective & Lila Iké - Well Organised

While ‘Only Love’ drew inspiration from West Africa, ‘Well Organised’ shifts the focus towards the Caribbean. Built around an interpolation of Max Romeo's legendary classic ‘I Chase The Devil’, the track immediately establishes its roots. The record also incorporates a vibrant steel pan melody captured by band member Femi Koleoso during a visit to London's Kinetika Bloco Youth Club, adding an organic and deeply personal touch to the production.

Lila Iké's unmistakable vocals bring warmth and soul to the record, perfectly complementing Ezra Collective's dynamic instrumentation. Together, they create a timeless groove that honours Jamaica's rich musical heritage while seamlessly blending it with the band's unmistakably British jazz sound.

With ‘Well Organised’, Ezra Collective continue to reveal the ambition behind ‘Here Because of Hope’. As anticipation continues to build ahead of the album's release, Ezra Collective once again demonstrate why they remain one of the UK's most innovative and forward-thinking musical forces.
