Elmiene re-imagines fan favourites with 'This Is The Remix'

British-Sudanese soul star Elmiene returns with 'This Is The Remix', a carefully curated 3-track bundle that breathes new life into two of his most-loved songs, 'Light Work' and 'Someday'. Known for his rich vocals and emotional depth, Elmiene taps into a global network of talent to rework these tracks, pulling in heavyweights like BLXST, Timbaland, Rance, and IAMNOBODI to add new flavour to his soulful sound.

The standout 'Light Work', originally featured on last year’s 'Anyway I Can EP', gets a West Coast injection from Grammy-nominated artist BLXST. His smooth blend of rap and R&B complements Elmiene’s laid-back reflections on effortless relationships, giving the track wider crossover appeal.

Meanwhile, 'Someday', first heard on Elmiene’s 2023 breakout tape 'Marking My Time', makes two appearances on the remix pack. Legendary producer Timbaland and Rance deliver a punchy, dynamic rework, while IAMNOBODI offers a more introspective, groove-led interpretation, both capturing different shades of the track’s longing and vulnerability.

As Elmiene’s catalogue continues to grow, these remixes highlight his versatility and rising global presence. With a slot supporting D’Angelo at the Roots Picnic in May and a summer date at London’s Jazz Cafe Festival, the rising star continues to cement his place as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary R&B and soul.
