Doja Cat has officially unveiled her fifth studio album, 'Vie', a record that pushes boundaries while further cementing her status as one of today’s most unpredictable and innovative artists. The title, pulled from the French word for 'life', carries multiple meanings.

Not only does it connect to the 'V' tattoo on her collarbone - representing both the Roman numeral for five and the album number - it also reflects Doja’s ongoing evolution. She’s described the number five as embodying curiosity, change, and adventure, three traits that pulse through every track on the project.

Throughout 'Vie', Doja weaves themes of love, identity, and transformation. The name itself also nods to 'La Vie en Rose', though she reimagines that romantic ideal through her own playful, sometimes provocative perspective. The result is an album that feels equal parts daring experiment and personal reflection.

The rollout has been just as striking as the music. In the video for 'Jealous Type', Doja incorporates product placement with PATRÓN EL ALTO Tequila, sipping it throughout the visual. It’s a small but clever example of how she blurs the line between artistry and spectacle.

With 'Vie', Doja Cat reminds listeners that reinvention is part of her DNA. The album stands as both a milestone in her catalog and a bold statement about where she’s headed next.

Check out the full body of work below, and keep your eyes peeled for more.
